What employees say about their “CAREERS” at Caviness……
I think Caviness is a great Company to work for. Opportunities are given every day. You have a chance to grow into a leader at Caviness if you work hard. I am proof that everything is possible here. I started several years ago just like any other new employee coming in. My willingness to learn and my determination to grow was seen by Caviness Management, and they gave me the chance to move up and take on additional responsibilities. Little did I know I would be sitting here today just a few years later as the Plant Technology Manager. I am thankful for the opportunities given to me and if I can do it, anyone can.
Working at Caviness is all about careers. We offer many of our new hires a chance to start a new career with little or no previous training or skills. This chance can lead to an employee learning a new skill that can launch into a skilled job or even a leadership position. The majority of our Supervisors and Managers have worked hard and found the opportunity to progress into leaders. No doubt about it, the work here is physically demanding, but it can also be very rewarding for those willing to apply themselves. We have a great winning team here. On the Caviness team, we have no bench warmers, everyone is in the game!
I started at Caviness Beef Packers in 2002. I wanted to work at Caviness because I knew the number of hours and stability of the Company would help me and my family. I got that and much more. I started as a regular fabrication worker and later was promoted to a Lead. From there, my career continued to grow and now after several promotions, I am the Fab Superintendent. Many thanks to Caviness for the opportunity to grow my career with the Company. All employees have the same opportunity that I did. I recommend Caviness Beef Packers as a Company where you can both grow your career and provide for your Family.
Working at Caviness is a great place to start a Career. With hard work and dedication, you’ll have the opportunity to move up in the Company. There are other benefits that come with working at Caviness. As a Superintendent, I have the chance to work on my communication skills, people skills, and you get an opportunity to meet a variety of people. If you are looking to start not only a job, but a career, I recommend Caviness Beef Packers as a good place to start.
I started working at Caviness Beef Packers in 2013 as a QA. Since then I have worked my way up to the BRC/HACCP Coordinator. Caviness is a family based Company, so it’s not a surprise when you see an owner on the floor saying good morning to their employees. Most of the management here have worked their way up to the position that they have now and you don’t see that in very many Companies. I like the fact that I have actually grown with Caviness and can say that I’ve also made good friends here. If you were to ask me would I recommend Caviness to a friend or relative, I wouldn’t hesitate to say yes.
Working at Caviness Beef Packers is a challenging opportunity waiting to happen. If you are willing to learn and grow, this is the place. I started working here as a Safety Tech and have worked in several departments and currently I assist the Plant Engineer. We learn together and grow together. Thinking of working in a packing house can be a bit intimidating, but that all goes away once you arrive here and start learning what it’s all about. Caviness Beef Packers has many different types of opportunities, come see for yourself. Like Dale Carnegie said “Believe you will be successful and you will.”
Team effort to me is taking ownership in your role on the team. Ensuring that what is produced will be in the best interest of the entire team. The spirit of a group makes all members want the group to succeed. Individual commitment to a group effort…that is what makes a team work, a Company work, a family work, a community work. A team cannot be successful on individual efforts alone, it is a collaborative effort that is unified and expressed through the entire group. In the end a team effort reflects on your family, your community, and the future. Come join us. I have been on the team since August 1994.
