The Caviness Family has been in the beef packing business for over forty years and currently has 2nd and 3rd generation family members who are actively involved. Pete Caviness, a lifetime cattle buyer, saw a need for a progressive beef packer in the Panhandle of Texas and bought a small locker plant in Hereford, Texas, in 1962. Over the past forty four years, the business has grown from a handful of cattle to over 900 head processed each day. Since 1970, the company has been steered by Terry Caviness. Today, the company has over 400 employees in two processing locations and markets products worldwide. |

The new Harvest Facility is the most modern, state of the art, beef facility built to date. This facility has been in operation since July 2005.
